How to Follow This Challenge

  • Walk outdoors or on a treadmill, whichever is easier for you to actually do consistently.
  • It is fine to split a day's minutes into two shorter walks if that fits your schedule better.
  • Rest days are a full day off from structured walking — casual daily movement is still fine.
  • If a week's duration feels too easy, add a faster-paced few minutes within the walk rather than skipping ahead.

Safety

  • Wear supportive, broken-in shoes to reduce the risk of blisters or joint strain.
  • Build up gradually — if you have a joint condition or haven't been active recently, start with the lower end of each week's range and increase pace before duration.
  • Stop and seek medical attention for chest pain, unusual shortness of breath, or dizziness during exercise.

Frequently Asked Questions

Pick back up at the next scheduled day rather than trying to make it up — consistency over the full month matters more than a single missed session.
